Community
APA has been a part of New Carlisle for almost 20 years. The school originally opened in 2007 as a branch of Davis School of Martial Arts. In 2012, the name was changed to American Pangainoon Academy. It has been updated to APA Martial Arts to better describe what we offer.
Our History
APA, founded by Rich and Kim Upton, has continued its affiliation with the International Pangainoon Budo Kai Hino Ryu association formed by Carl J. Davis. Upon Rich's passing in 2025, the school was passed on by Kim to Matt Grigsby.
